LeadMagic uses a flexible credit-based system that gives you complete control over your data enrichment costs. This guide explains how credits work and how to manage them effectively.

What Are Credits? 💰

Credits are the currency used within LeadMagic to access various data services. Our pay-as-you-go model ensures you only pay for successful data enrichments.

  • Apply Data Waterfall Approach: In Clay, use waterfall enrichment to try multiple services and only pay for the first successful result

Managing Credits in Your Account 📱

Checking Your Balance

Your current credit balance is displayed prominently in your dashboard header.

Credit Usage Reports

  1. Navigate to "Account" → "Credit Usage"
  2. View detailed usage breakdowns by service type
  3. Filter by date range or project
  4. Export reports for expense tracking

Setting Credit Alerts

To avoid unexpected credit depletion:

  1. Go to "Account Settings" → "Notifications"
  2. Set up low balance alerts
  3. Enable email notifications for usage milestones

Credits in Clay Integration 🧩

When using LeadMagic through Clay, you have two options:

1. Clay-Managed Account

Use Clay's LeadMagic account with the following credit costs:

  • Email Finder: 1 Clay credit
  • Mobile Finder: 6 Clay credits
  • Social Profile Finder: 10 Clay credits
  • Email Validation: 1 Clay credit
  • Company Enrichment: 1 Clay credit

2. Your LeadMagic Account

Connect your own LeadMagic API key (available on paid Clay plans)

Q: Do credits expire?

A: Monthly subscription credits refresh each billing cycle. Separately purchased credits do not expire.

Q: Can I share credits between team members?

A: Yes, credits are shared across your organization's account.

Q: What happens if I run out of credits during an operation?

A: The operation will pause, and you'll be prompted to purchase additional credits.

Q: How do credits work with API usage?

A: API calls consume credits according to the same rates as the web interface.
